Description
Langley is a happy, stubby little steam engine that began work as a passenger train in 1875. He is based on Casey Jr's design, but is slightly bigger, as he needs to travel further distances. He began work as a freight train in 1893, were he pulled cattle to big cities on the east coast. Langley was eventually brought to New York Harbor in 1915 to help pull weapons and supplies to aid in the Great war going on in Europe...after 3 years of that, Langley was brought back to the Midwest where he pulled freight for 27 more years. Bigger engines eventually took his job, and Langley was left to rust in an old rail yard. After about 30 years, a heritage railroad found Langley, and thought he was perfect for their railroad. Langley was brought to Philadelphia, Cleaned and repaired, and now happily works pulling passenger trains to this day.
